Center in the Park (CIP) celebrates positive aging year-round and exemplifies the theme of this year’s National Senior Center Month: It Happens at My Senior Center: My Life - My Tine - My Way. Join the celebration as CIP’s full calendar of classes and activities resume following Labor Day. Membership in CIP is free and open to adults aged 55+. Just call the Center and make an appointment with the Center Counselor or membership registrar to complete an application, Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, 215-848-7722. Thursday, Sept. 15th – 10:00am -2:00pm - Center in the Park’s Annual Open House in recognition of National Senior Center Month – Participate in exercise and fitness programs; sign-up for Fall semester classes; meet and greet staff, instructors and activity leaders; enter CIP Gift Bag drawing; sign-up for upcoming trips and gatherings; register for Silver Sneakers – come out and see what makes Center in the Park – A Gem in Germantown.

Saturday, Sept. 17th – 5:00pm – Reception & Silent Auction preceding the Fourth Annual Music From the Heart Jazz Concert beginning at 7:00pm – at the Loeb Auditorium, Germantown Friends School - Greene Street & Schoolhouse Lane – Tickets- $25. – featuring: Nazir Ebo Trio; Barbara Walker; and, Jerry Weldon Trio with Lucas Brown – Tickets may be purchased at www.centerinthepark.org, at the Center or by contacting Nicole B. at 215-848-7722.
