Announces newly elected Board of Directors for 2007-2008
Center in the Park promotes positive aging!
Located in Germantown’s historic Vernon Park, Center in the Park is a nationally accredited community senior center focused
primarily on the needs of older adults (55+).
Center in the Park provides social, recreational, health and fitness, arts and humanities, and lifelong learning programs and
activities. Community involvement is fostered and connections built through service and volunteer opportunities.
Following are newly elected members of Center in the Park’s Board of Directors, elected in June, 2008:
Delores M. Andy, Professor Emerita, Temple University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management; former Philadelphia Commissioner of Recreation.
Reginald V. Cooper, Business Banking Officer, Assistant Vice President, Citibank, N.A.
Reverend Nancy E. Muth, Minister, The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown; Co-Author, “Putting the Stewardship Puzzle Together.”

Center in the Park is a community center that promotes positive aging and fosters community connections for older adults in
Northwest Philadelphia, whose voices are critical instruments in shaping its activities and direction. CIP is accredited by the
National Institute of Senior Centers, a unit of the National Council on Aging as a provider of excellent programs, activities and
services for its active membership of more than 5,000 and its 1,000 homebound clients.
